Der dunkle Schamane des Rock ist zurück! Scheinbar kontinuierlich und gefestigt kommt nach 2015 das dritte Album ebenso plötzlich wie stets vorher. Kontinuität wird hier nur vorgetäuscht. Diese drei musikalischen Alphatiere arbeiten emotional und intuitiv. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit wird geschrieben, aufgenommen, getourt und nie scheint sicher, ob und wie es weitergeht. In drei Ländern zuhause, andere Bands, Soloprojekte, Touren und Produktionen an denen jeder Einzelne beteiligt ist, lassen HODJA stets ohne Ankündigung auferstehen. Wie die titelgebende Flüt Rollen sie über uns und ordnen scheinbar alles neu. Rock, Garage, Blues, Soul, HipHop, Punk… alles ist erlaubt. Der HODJA kommt weise, überlegen und doch emotional und frei. Nichts für festgefahrene Genre-Fetischisten. Roh, laut und voller Energie.
The dark shaman of rock is back! Hodja are back with a third album apparently solidified and continuous. However, continuity is just a masquerade here. These three musically dominant males are working emotionally and intuitively. In the shortest imaginable time frame, they wrote the whole album, recorded it, and toured with it, but it never seems certain how and if they will continue doing this. Living apart in three different countries, having different bands, solo projects, other tours, and productions, is the reason why Hodja “resurrects” from time to time, always without any prior notice. Like the eponymous “Flood” they roll over us and herald the start of a new order. Rock Garage, Blues Soul, Hip Hop, Punk,… everything is possible. Hodja is wise, superior and at the same time, emotional and liberated. Hodja is nothing for gridlocked genre fetishists, it’s rough, loud and bursting with energy!
